"While doing fieldwork during the annual bison rut in Yellowstone National
Park, I saw a bull bison up on a ridge with clouds stacked up behind him.
I added a lady friend and let Maxfield Parrish inspire the late afternoon
light on the clouds."
Hayden Valley Thunder was accepted into "Art and the Animal Kingdom XI" at
the Bennington Center for the Arts in Vermont in 2006, and is now in a
private collection.

favorite subjects, the takhi."
Mongolia Morning was accepted into "The Art of
the Horse", New Jersey Equine Artists Association, in 2006 and
"The Art of the Equine" at the Fallbrook Center for the Arts in 2007.

"When I visited Hustai National Park, which is about 100 km west of
Ulaan Bataar, the capital of Mongolia, in May of 2005, I was lucky
enough to see many takhi (also known as Przwalski's Horse). This
little foal was quite a character, full of spunk and mischief. I
knew very quickly that he would be a great subject!"
Takhi (which means "spirit" in Mongolian) are the world's only
remaining species of wild horse.
Takhi Foal was accepted into "The Art of the Horse", New Jersey
Equine Artists Association in 2006 and "The Art of the Equine" at the
Fallbrook Center for the Arts in 2007.
