PLEIN AIR There's nothing quite like setting up one's easel in the great outdoors. Plein Air, or outdoor, painting has become justifiably popular in recent years. It's challenging, frustrating and extremely rewarding. I find that it improves my ability to interpret the photos I have taken and helps me edit a scene in a studio painting down to its essentials. A given quality of light only lasts around two hours, so there is no shilly-shallying around. Mt.
