PLEIN AIR
|
There's nothing quite like setting up one's easel in the great outdoors.
Plein Air, or outdoor, painting has become justifiably popular in recent
years. It's challenging, frustrating and extremely rewarding. I find that
it improves my ability to interpret the photos I have taken and helps me
edit a scene in a studio painting down to its essentials. A given quality
of light only lasts around two hours, so there is no shilly-shallying around.
